Welcome to Kenya Sustainable Health Aid (KESHA). KESHA is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in Kenya and working in two major poor communities since 2006.
The target communities are:
- The slum community of Kawangware and Dagoretti constituency of Nairobi west district
- The marginalized communities of Tana River District.
Target population:
Women, Children, youth, HIV/AIDS patients, TB patients.
The NGO’s objective is to improve the social, economic and health status of the target communities.
The NGO has 3 main programs:
- Research for Health and development.
- Community Development.
- Water and sanitation engineering.
To implement the above programs KESHA has the following community sustainable activities:
- Health care services
- VCT services
- Malaria control and prevention
- Home based care for PLWHA
- Youth resource centre for drug and crime prevention.
- Health education
- Social and public health research including projects evaluations
- Construction of water and sanitation infrastructures.
- Nutrition improvement through support to micro-irrigation farming
- Volunteering in the above activities.
- Training and support to community based organization.
- Orphans and Vulnerable Children sponsorship.
- Environmental Conservation
